Two thirds of the farm is made up of cork oaks with cork the main produce of the farm. Each year trees are manually stripped of the outer back after 10 years of growth – visitors at the end of May/beginning of June will have the opportunity to see the unique process of the stripping. There are other seasonal farm activities throughout the year such as the wine harvest, sheep lambing and shearing and olive picking. During autumn and winter black pigs from Spain (from which the bellota hams are made) roam freely on the farm, feeding on the acorn.
